Villa KL
A Celebration of Feminine Design and Craftsmanship
Villa KL is a curated transformation of a private home where architectural integrity meets a vision of inclusivity, balance, and refined living. Conceived for Jennie Sinclair of Ownershift and Techposition the project sets out to highlight and empower female-led design through every layer of the interior.
The architectural approach centered around creating calm and clarity—clean geometries, layered natural textures, and timeless tones flow seamlessly throughout the residence. Custom joinery and carefully selected tactile surfaces create a quietly luxurious environment, where every object serves both function and narrative.
A defining element of the project is its purposeful curation: nearly all furnishings and objects are designed or co-designed by women. This concept—both aesthetic and ideological—offered an opportunity to not only shape space but also reshape norms, challenging the typically underrepresented role of women in product and furniture design.
Soft, neutral palettes are offset by sculptural lighting, curated art, and standout pieces with a story. The home feels at once grounded and aspirational, rooted in contemporary craftsmanship but open to conversation—between people, disciplines, and ideas.
KL1 is more than a home; it's a quiet manifesto on equity, creative autonomy, and the transformative power of intentional design.
